Contestants observe a five-to seven-minute test speech and then present a two-to three-minute evaluation of the test speech.

Leah Cox earns Distinguished Toastmaster Award!
On July 18th, former Crosswinds club President, Leah Cox was awarded the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award! Ten years in the making!
Earning the DTM is no small deal! It represents the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters.
Congratulations Leah for continuing to mentor and improve our club with your wealth of experience. This accomplishment also helps provide our club status in achieving its yearly goals!

New Club Location! It's Officially Official!
This week, Crosswinds Toastmasters has officially voted to move its meeting location. For the second time in a calendar year, our Club has a new permanent location:
Meeting Location: Emerson Innovation Center - Fisher (Formerly "Emerson Process Management").
Room: "Sorocaba"
Address: 301 S. 1st Avenue, Marshalltown, IA 50158 (Corner of S. 1st Avenue and Boone Streets)
Directions: For non-Emerson members: Enter through the Security Door entrance (see above) on S. 1st Avenue and sign in. We will have a member escort you in.

Farewell!
Crosswinds said farewell to past VP of Education and key member, Chrissy Bjorklund today as she makes her move to the Fargo/Moorhead area with her husband. Current president Zach Ray presented a signature Crosswinds painting created by George Trent, signed by the entire club.
Previous Toastmaster member, friend, and senior Emerson engineer Ray Micheel came as a guest speaker with a great send-off for her!

Successful Parliamentary Procedure Event
Great job to those who set up, participated, brought in food, and more importantly, learned in the parliamentary procedure workshop on December 7th.
